Then end result of nearly 20 minutes is that I am getting an intermittant signal loss of 60%. They fixed the connection, and my speed jumped to +4mps, and two months later, after a system upgrade, up to +5mps. After all the hell I raised with them, they checked every connection from the pole to the modem to make sure every connection was good. Run more tests! see forums 2005-12-31 06:43:03 EST: 3227 / 297 Your download speed : 3227 kbps or 403.4 KB/sec. Your upload speed : 297 kbps or 37.2 KB/sec. Now that's ok, a tiny bit slower than other times, but it's basically fine. Come 11:00 I will drop to nearly zero bandwidth. Then in the afternoon it will range from slow to none and it will stay that way until late evening, sometimes as late as 22:00. Everything was fine until 23 December, since then Crapcast has been a nightmare. This has happened before, frequently during holidays. I can't help but wonder if someone is making an illegal connection. Of course, it could be a bad connector and that's what I hope it is. Might also be a damaged line, we have two new houses, one more under construction and one lot recently stripped of all the trees (not happy about that), so a line might have been damaged. I hope to find out real soon, because I am really frustrated, but at least the tech I talked with last night seemed to know his stuff and spent a lot of time running tests and having me check my system.
