The 1st battalion of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment is deploying to a place called Ft. Pickett (not sure of the spelling) in Virginia for some sort of specilialized training with the US forces based there.

I figure that a combination of Screech , Moonshine, a bunch of young Newfs away from home and a bunch of "good ole boys" from Virginia heading into town for some "entertainment" on a Saturday night should be right up there with a hydrogen bomb in terms of danger to the public ;)

Don't worry Archie, we.............as in me and my Coy along with 36 CBG (Canadian Brigade Group) just got back from Fort Pickett on Sunday, we left our vehicles in place there for RNLFDR along with other 37 CBG units to take over when they get on ground.

They won't be rolling into the town there.............Blackstone VA..........its a 1 horse town with 1 bar. But they will have a end of exercise party like we did..............500 soldiers (Canadian and American)

I had a Platoon from Charlie Company 172nd Inf Mountain attached to my Company, they got back from the sand box last year and they where a great asset to have in the Coy.

I hope it snows on them like it did on us last week!!! :P:lol:
