Stans
That is cool, they launched a frisbee, a beach ball, and a R/C car to Mars.

neddie seagoon
Holy Smokes! A whole lotta stuff had to go right for that probe to get there safely and start sending stuff back. I never realized there were that many seperate steps, stage separations, parachutes, retro rockets, balloons, wow. Well done JPL!

Whizkid
Fantastic video. Hideous sound track. What do you expect,Piddles, with a name like "Nine Inch Nails?" Now,if they had played Gustav Holtz "Planets Suite" it would have made more sense! But then we're past the Rock and Roll stage, aren't we? Hellooooooo! You still there? The Dude
Holst's "Planets" is a monster work. I listen to CBC radio and they are always playing some version of it. It's not that I'm actually past the Rock and Roll stage, it's just that I'm past the artless, atonal Rock and Roll stage.
Gunny
All of that money spent just so some geek can play with his RC model on another planet.

OldWSO
Thanks for posting this one!!! I've been following the progress of Spirit and Opportunity for 2 years, now. The panoramas that NASA posts are magnificient desolation. What could be cooler than seeing tire tracks on another planet? I know-your own footprints- but we have to take what we can get.
